Our Fees
Know what you're likely to pay.
We don't believe legal fees should come as a surprise.
Because we specialise in property, wills and estate administration, we deal with the same types of matters every day. That means we can usually give you a good indication of what your matter is likely to cost before you decide to proceed.
Our fees are based on the work involved
We don't use one fixed price for every matter.
A straightforward transaction should not cost the same as a complicated one. Our fees reflect the work involved, while our specialist focus means we can often give you a meaningful estimate from the outset.
For many matters, we'll give you a minimum fee and an expected range. If your matter is likely to require substantially more work than anticipated, we'll tell you before the additional work is undertaken.
Typical fees
Residential property
Selling a house
From €2,050 + VAT
Buying a house
From €2,050 + VAT
Remortgaging
From €1,050 + VAT
Transfers of property
From €1,500 + VAT
The final fee depends on the property and the work involved. For example, additional titles, unusual title issues, planning matters or other complications may increase the fee.
Wills
Single will
From €180 + VAT
Two wills for a couple
From €200 + VAT
We will tell you the fee before preparing your will.
Estate administration
Estate administration is particularly dependent on the circumstances of the estate.
For a straightforward estate, our fees will typically be in the region of €3,850 + VAT.
More complicated estates may cost more. Factors that can affect the fee include the number and nature of the assets, the number of beneficiaries, property, agricultural land, tax issues, foreign assets and difficulties in establishing or administering the estate.
We will give you an indication of the likely cost once we know what is involved.
What happens if more work is needed?
Sometimes a matter turns out to be more complicated than it first appeared.
We don't expect you to accept an unexpectedly large bill without warning.
If we discover that your matter is likely to require substantially more work than originally anticipated, we'll explain why and tell you what this is likely to mean for the cost.
Where additional work falls outside the original estimate, our normal hourly rates may apply.
VAT and outlays
Our professional fees are quoted exclusive of VAT, unless we say otherwise.
There may also be outlays associated with your matter, such as Land Registry fees, search fees, registration fees, postage or other third-party charges. We will identify these for you as clearly as possible.
The important thing
We don't aim to be the cheapest solicitor.
We aim to provide a specialist service, do the work properly and give you a clear idea of what it is going to cost.
If you would like to know what your particular matter is likely to cost, contact us.
We'll ask you a few questions, explain what is involved and give you an indication of our fees before you decide whether to proceed.
